Many men with benign prostatic hyperplasia have no symptoms. For others, when symptoms do appear they can range from mild or barely noticeable to severe. Symptoms associated with BPH are often times referred to as LUTS, or lower urinary tract symptoms. The symptoms of BPH are classified as problems with emptying the bladder or bladder storage:
Difficulty starting a urine stream
Feeling that you can not empty your bladder completely
Week urine stream
Painful ejaculation
Dribbling during urination
An urge to urinate shortly after urinating
Pain during urination
A frequent need to urinate
Getting up during the night to urinate
A sense of urgency to urinate

BPH does not cause prostate cancer, but prostate cancer often causes symptoms similar to those of BPH. If you are experiencing symptoms similar to BPH it is important to be checked by a doctor to be certain they are not due to something more serious than BPH.

By the way: If you have pain in the lower back that is not related to an injury or physical motion ,there is blood, or pus, in your urine or semen or you experience chills, fever, or pain in the lower back or genital area...then you should also see your doctor.

The only supplement PATENTED for alleviating symptoms of an enlarged
prostate

With age your prostate changes

URINOZINC - Formulated to support normal prostate function

For the Prostate as the rest of our body,- things change as we get older. The prostate gland tends to grow larger with age, and may squeeze the urethra and cause problems in passing urine. Doctors call this condition benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or benign prostatic hypertrophy. For some men in their 30s and 40s they may begin to experience these urinary symptoms and need medical attention. For others, this symptoms aren't noticed until much later in life.

By the way: Benign means "not cancer," and hyperplasia means proliferation of cells beyond what is normal – thus BPH is a noncancerous growth of the prostate gland with the result being that the prostate becomes enlarged. It is not linked to cancer and does not increase your risk of getting prostate cancer.
BPH rarely causes symptoms before age 40, but about 50% of men over 50, more than half of men in their sixties, and as many as 90 percent in their seventies and eighties have some symptoms of BPH.

What happens is: the prostate enlarges, the layer of tissue surrounding it stops it from expanding, causing the gland to press against the urethra like a clamp on a garden hose. making the urethra become more narrow. The bladder wall becomes thicker and irritable. The bladder begins to contract even when it contains small amounts of urine, causing more frequent urination. Eventually, the bladder weakens and loses the ability to empty itself, so some of the urine remains in the bladder. This causes many of the problems associated with BPH.

Men, getting up at night? Over 2 MILLION bottles sold!

Well... I guess you all know this. :) But a blog without facts on the theme, what would that be? So, here we go:
The prostate is part of the male reproductive system. The gland is made of two lobes, enclosed by an outer layer of tissue. It is located below the bladder and in front of the rectum, and surrounds the urethra, the tube-like structure that carries urine from the bladder out through the penis.

Still the scientists do not know all the prostate's functions; but here's some: It is producing the fluid that mixes with sperm to make semen. This fluid energizes the sperm and makes the vaginal canal less acidic.
Contains an enzyme called 5 alpha-reductase that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, and secretes a substance which is thought to contain antibacterial properties. Quite interesting, isn't it?

A normal prostate is about the same size and shape as a walnut and weighs about an ounce.
As a man matures, the prostate goes through two main periods of growth. The first occurs early in puberty, when the prostate doubles in size. At around age 25, the gland starts to grow again.
The prostate continues to grow during most of a man's life, but the enlargement doesn't usually cause problems until late in life. And that is the topic of my next blog-post...prostate problems. So stop by later, or subscribe to updates.:)

Until then:
URINOZINC - Formulated to support normal prostate function
